Lorenzo, a young and passionate artisan from Slow Wood network, has been attracted to handcrafting since childhood. His remarkable woodturning skill can be witnessed through his various objects - always with balanced combination between artistic beauty and experimental ideas.
The artisan will take you into the world of wood material, with fascinating tales and interesting knowledge. Since wood is actually like a diary of a tree’s life – the patterns, spots, marks... they all have stories behind – and woodturning is in other words a technique to reveal these unique beauty. Sounds cool, right?
Learn the basics and see how to do several different techniques. And by working side by side with the artisan, you will gradually get used to the tools and start having some fun, with a bit of practice of course!
Once you know some techniqes, you might start having in mind some ideas of what you would like to craft! With the artisan it’s the time for discussing, exchanging and sharing of ideas , also getting great advices.
